What I learned to say at leadership training:
I have a vision for our future.
I have a plan to get us there.
It will be difficult to do.
It will be worth it when we get there.

When is the last time you heard a leader articulate these things?

On October 7, 2023, the soldiers of an independent entity west of Israel invaded and killed and captured Israeli citizens. Israel struck back and many liberals think Israel committed overkill. All it will take to stop the killing in Gaza is for Hamas to leave. Until Hamas goes, the war goes on. Israel dd not start it, but what would the U.S. do if Mexico did to Texas what Hamas did to Israel?

There is no negotiating this point. There must be a Jewish homeland in Israel.

If leaders don’t want their constituencies to make up stories about decisions that affect them, tell the truth.

If you want to change the world with your actions, make sure those actions don’t do more harm than good.

AI can be a valuable tool in clinical medicine. It cannot replace the physician as healer.

There may be a path to peace in the Middle East. It will be up to the Israeli voters as to whether or not the current government keeps pursuing its current path of destruction instead.

There is a way to avoid having the next MD Anderson president be another one who cannot say, “I’m wrong, I’m lost, I’m sorry.” Hire a woman.

The United States is less safe now than it was on September 10, 2001 due to the threat from Iran, China and other enemy states as well as the uncontrolled danger of rogue AI. When are we going to have a national plan to deal with these existential challenges?

On 9/11 our leaders said we were at at war, but we weren’t. We had been mugged. Misnaming something can lead to disaster.
