There Is No Peace In The Middle East

In a widely distributed video (second attachment, above), members of Hamas are shown back on the streets in Gaza and executing eight men believed to be traitors, Israeli collaborators, or simply political rivals. There was no trial. Just executions.

This is the enemy of Israel and this is why 67,000 or so people had to die in Gaza. In short, this evil cannot be allowed to exist next to the Jewish state. We Jews have had just about enough of having to deal with non-Jewish people with guns who would execute others for who or what they are, including us. This is Hamas. This is the demonic presence that killed women and children on October 7, 2023. This blight on humanity must be ended just as the Nazis had to be ended in Germany in 1945.

Mr. Trump believes he has some sort of deal with these people. He does not. Hamas will rapidly move like cockroaches into the areas of Gaza that Israeli troops have vacated, seize control, terrorize the Arab population, and kill anyone who deigns to get in its way. There is little doubt how this is going to end. And it has not ended just yet despite what Mr. Trump may think.

First, Hamas will never be able to fulfill its end of the cease-fire bargain. It really does not have all of the bodies of the dead hostages. Some may be under rubble. Some may be in the control of other terrorist groups. This was a promise Hamas knew it could not keep.

Second, as their immediate, post cease-fire behavior has shown, Hamas is not human. Not only will it kill Jews indiscriminately, it will kill Arabs without thought or concern.

Third, I do not see the other Arab states trying to control the behavior of Hamas. There is no reason to believe that any force on Earth will shake Hamas out of Gaza except one, the IDF.

We Jews will not be fooled into believing that we have friends outside of Israel among the countries of the world. We do not. While we really appreciate the efforts of Mr. Trump to end Israel’s longest war, my guess is that he has not succeeded. If Hamas is already in control of parts of Gaza and is executing people on the street, there is no cease fire for the people of Gaza and there won’t be one for the people of Israel either.

This also shows why Israel has a very difficult time having a Palestinian state on its border. What or who will prevent another October 7 in the future should a Palestinian state exist in Gaza and the West Bank being led by people like Hamas?

If the world really wants a Palestinian state bordering Israel, it is going to have to find responsible Palestinian leadership and provide a security guarantee to Israel in the form of troops on the ground keeping the Arabs out of Israel. Whether the Palestinians like it or not, Israel will exist!

I am sorry. There can be no deals when it comes to Israel’s survival. As of now, there is no stage two of any peace plan on the table and Hamas will go on expanding its grip on Gaza and killing anyone who stands in its way. Let the members of the U.N. and the pro-Palestinian students on American campuses watch the video of the executions. Let them know whose cause they hope to further. Then, let’s hear the plan. My guess is that Israel will be back to bombing Gaza within a few months unless the Arab Gulf states insist on Hamas leaving Gaza and making sure it happens. Without that, it is still an Israeli democracy vs. an autocratic state of Arab cruelty with a leadership putting innocent Arabs between itself and the IDF. Show me some Arab democracy and then maybe we can talk.

There is no Middle East peace. There’s a pause. The Israelis have stopped shooting. Hamas has just started. When an Arab state finally decides to act as the leader in regional peace, then maybe. Until then, Israel is still at war.
